Tom MacLeod, President

Tom joined Sterling Crane Canada as President in September 2020 bringing 15 years of Executive Leadership experience to the Organization. Tom now serves as President of Marmon Crane Services. Tom has held Senior positions with both Canadian and International companies during his career, with a strong focus on midstream and downstream Oil and Gas. Prior to joining Sterling Crane, Tom held the position of Vice President, Business Development for Mammoet Canada Western Ltd.

As President, Tom is driven to grow the Company profitably, foster an open and inclusive working environment, continuously improve the organization's Health and Safety culture, and to make Marmon Crane the Employer of Choice in the crane rental industry.

Tom holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Western University in London, Ontario.

Jens Lankers, Vice President of Finance

Jens Lankers is Vice President of Finance at Marmon Crane Services, Inc., with extensive experience in financial management and accounting.

Jens Lankers serves as the Vice President of Finance at Marmon Crane Services, Inc., where he oversees the financial operations, strategy and compliance of the group. With a career that spans over a decade in financial management and accounting, Jens has been instrumental in ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. He joined Marmon Crane Services in August 2020, bringing a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Sterling Crane, where he served in various roles including Vice President Finance, Corporate Controller, and Regional Controller.

Jens holds a Bachelor of Management in Accounting and Finance from Concordia University of Edmonton and is certified as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). His comprehensive understanding of financial analysis and reporting has been pivotal in guiding the financial strategies of the company.

Pardeep Aulakh, Vice President of Human Resources

Pardeep Aulakh is the Vice President of Human Resources at Marmon Crane Services, Inc., with over 15 years of experience in HR leadership.

Pardeep Aulakh is the Vice President of Human Resources at Marmon Crane Services, Inc., where she leads the company’s people strategy across talent management, leadership development, onboarding, engagement, and organizational effectiveness for a global, operationally focused workforce.

With more than 15 years of human resources leadership experience, Pardeep brings a proven track record of building scalable HR programs that strengthen performance, retention, and culture across complex, multi-site and safety-sensitive operations. Since joining Marmon Crane Services in January 2020, she has played a key role in aligning HR initiatives with business strategy, supporting operational excellence, and developing future-ready leadership capability.

Prior to Marmon, Pardeep held progressive HR leadership roles at Lafarge, ATCO, and Shaw Communications, gaining broad experience across industrial, construction, technology, and telecommunications environments.

Pardeep completed her Human Resources Management studies from MacEwan University and is known for her pragmatic, people-centered, and data-informed approach to HR leadership. She is passionate about building strong leadership teams, fostering engagement, and creating inclusive workplaces that enable both employees and the business to perform at their best.

Mike DeRocco, Vice President, Business Development

Mike DeRocco is the Vice President of Business Development at Marmon Crane Services, Inc.

Mike leads the company's global Business Development function, driving strategic initiatives,  sustainable revenue growth, and long-term market opportunities across diverse geographies and industry sectors. A strategic leader with extensive construction industry expertise and a proven entrepreneurial approach, Mike brings expertise in recognizing evolving  industry trends, and building long-term customer partnerships, while championing a safety-first culture and operational excellence.

His responsibilities encompass identifying and executing high-value opportunities, evaluating and negotiating strategic partnerships and alliances, and directing B2B marketing strategy, commercial services , and economic analysis across multiple market sectors throughout Canada, USA and Australia. Mike supports market intelligence and competitive analysis, collaborates with cross-functional business development teams, and establishes frameworks for evaluating new market entry and expansion opportunities. He is responsible for building and maintaining executive-level client relationships, shaping market strategies, and ensuring alignment between business development initiatives and corporate objectives.

Mike has an undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Smith School of Business at Queens University.

Raj Kalsi, Director of Engineering

Raj Kalsi, P.Eng., is the Director of Engineering at Marmon Crane Services, Inc., bringing over 25 years of expertise in engineering, leadership and innovation.

Raj Kalsi serves as the Director of Engineering at Marmon Crane Services, Inc., where he leads global engineering operations and ensures compliance with industry standards.  Raj recently joined Marmon Crane Services.  Previously, he served as Engineering Manager at Sterling Crane since 2011, where his extensive experience from the oil and gas and overhead crane industry allowed him to exceed company objectives.  He also chairs the CSA Z150 – Safety Code on Mobile Cranes committee, underscoring his dedication to safety and best practices.  Raj’s leadership ensures precise lift planning and execution, enhancing project safety and efficiency.  He is committed to upholding Marmon Crane Services’ reputation for delivering reliable and safe solutions for complex projects.

Raj holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Brian Adams, President, Freo Group

Brian joined Freo Group as President in October 2025.

He brings more than 30 years of international executive experience across the mining, construction, energy, and manufacturing sectors. A proven, values-driven leader, Brian combines deep operational, financial, and strategic expertise with a strong record of delivering sustainable business performance.

Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in finance, operations, procurement, and technology with leading global organizations including BMW Financial Services, Caterpillar, Worley, Ernst & Young, and BGC (Australia).

Mark Pisani, President, Sterling Crane North America

Mark joined Sterling Crane Canada as Vice President, Operations in January 2022. Mark brings over 30 years of operational experience and has held leadership roles in the manufacturing, construction and crane industry.

Throughout his career, Mark's passion is the people he works with, and he has focused his career on creating teams that generate success through safety, operational efficiency, and exceeding customer expectations.

Now serving as President of Sterling Crane North America, Mark is committed to upholding the highest standards in safety and operational execution, while providing best in class service for our clients and ensuring Sterling Crane is a leader in the crane market.
